Ethan comes from an international background but has always wanted to live on the West Coast. Born in the Netherlands to British and Korean-American parents, he was raised in London and Virginia before settling down in Oregon. Growing up with a multicultural background, Ethan has always wanted to pursue a career where he can help people from all over the world.

Ethan is the first lawyer in his family. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and obtained his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. Ethan was one of two law students in Oregon selected for a competitive clerkship program hosted by the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He wanted to make a difference in people's lives and decided to work with Cheng Law LLC. After interning for Cheng Law and proving himself for two years, Ethan was offered a full time position in the Fall of 2022 and continues working to help people who have been wrongfully injured.

Ethan’s favorite thing about being a personal injury attorney is that he feels he is always on the right side of the law. Ethan takes a client-first approach because he knows that while the insurance companies and  corporations view people's injuries as just another statistic to be minimized in order to maximize a larger business portfolio; his clients only have one case and one opportunity to be heard and made whole. For Ethan, it has never been about the money, but how to treat people right.

Ethan is a Guardian of Civil Justice member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. When he's not practicing law, he has a huge passion for soccer and he plays as a winger in multiple weekend leagues across Portland and Hillsboro.
